SW Responsibly Welcomes Visitors

Having been horrified to see the hordes descend on the UK’s open spaces over the last couple of weeks – not to mention the life-endangering and litter-bugging actions of the few – we’re delighted to see The National Trust, RHS Rosemoor and other responsible local outdoor attractions work out how to open safely.

With the support of Visit Devon and others, they’ve found creative ways to provide safe visiting, with new booking and guess management procedures, contactless and cashless transactions, protective screens, re-routed pathways, more intense cleaning schedules and even pop-up food service alternatives that add to the experience while ensuring safe distancing.

Well done to all those who have worked tirelessly to keep the visitor economy ticking over and now get it (tentatively) back on its feet. Let’s hope visitors take their personal Covid-19 responsibilities just as seriously, so we can all enjoy getting out to visit our favourite spots in the Great South West!
