Culm Garden Village Website Launched

‘Culm Garden Village’, the development proposed for the east of Cullompton, has taken another baby-step towards realisation with a website, on which information, progress updates and consultation documents will be published by Mid Devon District Council (MDDC). Twitter and Facebook profiles have also been set up (@CulmGV).

This development – on a site allocated in the draft Local Plan for which Examination in Public has commenced – was one of 14 areas awarded Garden Village Status by the Government in January 2017. The long-term ambition held by MDDC, and supported by Cullompton Town Council and the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group, is to deliver up to 5,000 sustainable new homes in a country park landscape, with jobs, community facilities and transport.

Stakeholder and community groups have already been formed to debate priorities for the new community and its relationship to Cullompton.
